ENTRANCE FEES
$4.00 Gate Fee (M-Th) - Indiana licensed vehicle, motorcycle, or moped.
$5.00 Gate Fee (F-S-S) - Indiana licensed vehicle, motorcycle, or moped.
$7.00 Gate Fee (daily) - Out-of-State licensed vehicle, motorcycle, or moped.
$2.00 Daily Fee per person - Walk-ins, Bicycle, Buses / Passenger Vans (children 4 & under admitted free).

ANNUAL PERMITS - admit the purchaser and passengers in a private, family type, non-commercial vehicle for the current year:

$18.00 - Golden Hoosier Passport - For Indiana Residents age 65 and older.

NATURE CENTER 8:30 am-4:30 pm Mon thru Sat, Sun. - 1:00-4:30 pm. Bird Observation Window, Bee Hive, Turtle Display, Native Snakes, Interpretive garden nearby and other displays and exhibits. Presentations for groups upon request. Self-Guided Auto Tour. Programs scheduled and posted throughout the park. Amphitheater rental by request. 812-988-5240

SADDLE BARN Open late March through October, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily. Days of operation vary in early Spring, check with the the Saddle Barn for more specific information.

TRAIL RIDES (8 yrs & older) with guide: $15.00 (2.2 mile trail), 25.00 (3.3 mile trail)

PONY RIDES: $2.00/Lap. HAYRIDES: $3.00/ person.

CAMPING

20 & 30 amp electrical hook-up, water & dump station nearby, modern restrooms/showers, picnic table.

Class "B" (non-electric) - $10.20/night- (Sun - Wed); $13.26/night- (Thurs - Sat); $16.32/ night - (Holiday weekends): Modern restrooms/showers, water in area and picnic tables.

Night Youth Tent camping - $2.00 / person / night; primitive sites with pit toilets, tables, water nearby.

Maximum Occupancy Group "Rally" Camping - $10.00 / camp unit / night; groups of five or more camping units, pit toilets, primitive facilities, water nearby, picnic tables, vehicle access.

*All RV's and Vehicles with Trailers must use West Gate Entrance due to height and weight limits on Covered Bridge at North Gate Entrance. Both entrances are located on State Road 46

Class "C" (primitive) - 9.18/ night- (Sun -Wed); $11.22 / night- (Thurs - Sat); $13.26/ night- (Holiday weekends): sites with water nearby, pit toilets, picnic tables and hitch rails.

Maximum Six Horses allowed per campsite in both the electric and primitive camp areas.

Night HORSE USE FEES:

Maximum Occupancy $20.00 Annual Horse Permit - annual fee per horse for use of horse trails for the calendar year. Permits must be physically shown to the attendant on duty upon arrival or purchase from the attendant.

$5.00 Daily Horse Permit - daily or overnight per horse.

Make reservations in all camp areas online at www.camp.in.gov or call 1-866-6CAMPIN (1-866-622-6746).

RESERVATIONS
Reservations now accepted year 'round for Brown Co. State Park, but some campgrounds close in the Winter months. All campsites (100%) can be reserved as early as six months in advance of the date of arrival or at least by Noon of arrival date. The Internet will be available 24 hours a day after the first date of availability. The call center hours are Monday thru Thursday, Noon - 8 p.m. EST, Friday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. - Noon, EST. November thru April call center hours change to Noon - 6 p.m. Monday thru Friday.

All cancellations prior to arrival must be made by contacting the call center @ 1-866-622-6746. If after arrival date, contact the park. Applicable cancellation fees will be charged.

**Campgrounds are closed at 11 PM, and no set-up of campsites may occur after that time.

PICNIC Shelters can be reserved up to 1 year in advance of the date of arrival or as late as 48 hours prior to date of arrival.

SHELTERS Make reservations by calling 1-866-6CAMPIN (1-866-622-6746) or by the Internet at www.camp.in.gov

Shelter Rental Fees range from $30.00 - $79.50 depending on the shelter (View list of Shelters here). This fee does not include entrance fee into the park. Cancellations must be made by contacting the call center at1-866-622-6746. Applicable cancellations fees will be charged. Shelters not reserved are available for first-come, first-serve use at no charge.

Check sign at the building to see if the shelter is "open" or "reserved" for the day. Shelters are open from 7 A to 11 P.

SWIMMING POOL Open Saturday of Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Opens May 23th - May 25th (closed May 26th - May 29th); opens full time May 31st thru Sun Aug. 9th; open weekends only beginning Sat. August 15th thru Labor Day,

NOTE: Days And Hours Of Operation Subject To Change Throughout The Season. Check With The Pool or Park Office. Pool Hours 12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Daily. Concession stand located at the Pool, same hours as Pool.

$2.00 - Daily admission per person per day.
$35.00 - Swimming Permit (allows 25 day uses). Valid for individuals, groups and families.
$.25 locker fee.

FISHING Two Lakes - Strahl and Ogle. State Fishing License required. Rowboats and electric trolling motors permitted on Ogle Lake. Boats need DNR Lake Permit $5.00/year - non-motorized; $20.00/year - w/ trolling motor. Strahl Lake not accessible to boats. Licenses & DNR Lake Permit available at Park Office. Bait available at County Store and nearby bait shops. No Boat Rental available in the park.

TENNIS COURTS Located near Saddlebarn and Lower Shelter. Open 7:00 am to 11:00 pm. Night Lighting.

LODGE & CABINS Restaurant open. Banquet and Conference Rooms available.

Lodge Rooms & Family Housekeeping cabins are the only available lodging this time of year. The cabins sleep (8) people and include kitchen, furnishings and a wood stove.

NATURE Hours: 1 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday thru Friday; 8:30 am to 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

CENTER 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Closed Monday and Tuesday. Winter nature theme workshops, hikes, presentations and talks held at the Lodge and Nature Center. Schedules posted throughout the park. Come check out our Bird Observation Window at its best in Winter. Self-Guided History Hike w/cassette tape available at front desk of Lodge.

THE COUNTRY STORE IS NOT OPEN DURING THE WINTER.

Raccoon and Taylor Ridge campgrounds will re-open in late March.

*All RV's and Vehicles pulling Trailers use West Gate entrance located on SR 46 W. Follow signs to "Campground Entrance" to access all camping areas.

HORSE CAMPING Class "A" (electric) - $14.28 per night; sites with elec. hook-up, picnic table, drinking water available at hydrant near entrance gatehouse through November only. First come - first served only. SHOWERS / FLUSH TOILETS NOT AVAILABLE

Class "C"(primitive) - $9.18 per night; First come, first served.

*Horseman Campground entrance located on SR 135 South, 8 miles South of SR 46 East.

CROSS-COUNTRY No maintained trails or ski rental operation in the park. Skiing available in open fields or along closed park roads.

SKIING As with any outdoor venture, it is advisable to travel with a friend, take water, snack and plan your outing depending on your skill level.

SLEDDING Moderately sloping hills can be found by the park swimming pool playing field.

ICE FISHING Available at Lake Ogle or Lake Strahl. The access road to Lake Strahl is closed to winter traffic when the roads are snow covered; trail leads to lake from behind the Nature Center. Lake Ogle is generally accessible. State License Required. Can purchase licenses at the Park Office. Bait available at nearby Bait Shops.
